Moving very slowly this morning. Working on sailboats is a workout. I am so sore.

Just as I was about to call it a day a good rain shower came through and then another.

I'm starting to become concerned the boat will not be ready to leave Friday. Michael has not yet shown up and he has quite a bit of work to do.

The offending wire that prevented the stop solenoid from working.

Replace the connector with and Anchor brand connector.

These are much nicer wire strippers.

The mechanic suggests getting Anchor marine heat shrink crimp connectors. The ones I got off Amazon work but are less than ideal.

The wire strippers I have are also not the best. He has similar ones that are much sturdier.
The stop switch problem was a broken wire at an incorrect connector. Someone had run a separate purple wire to the solenoid ... amateurs.

There is an open somewhere between the drive stop switch and the stop solenoid ... 🤞🤞that the solenoid is ok.

A much better option than having to replace an unobtanium hatch.

For what it is, it's obscenely expensive at almost $100 but compared to a hatch replacement it's well worth it.

Anchor is on and the anchor pin fits now. It takes just a little convincing but the weight of the anchor is no longer sitting on the pin.

The diesel has been run. The mechanic says it's definitely worth rebuilding when the time comes.

The cooling system needs to be flushed and it needs to be seatrialed.

Michael says he will have everything with the rigging and electronics patched up tomorrow.

In retrospect the boat should have been put in the water a number of days earlier. I was under the mistaken impression once the boat was in the water that they would want me to move it.
