I bought one of those big jugs of water with a tap and the tap came undone as I pilled it from the cart. Water everywhere. They allowed me to exchange it.

This is a pretty decent grocery store less than a mile from the boat.

Vampire stakes (bungs) have now been attached to all sea-cocks.

Now that I've been delving into the boat in this level of detail, I'm finding more and more little things that need to be addressed.

Aside from the stuffing box needing to be replaced and that fiberglass needing to be redone around the propellor tube nothing has been all that serious.

All the non-Groco through hulls needs to be replaced.

The service advisor for Safe Harbor City Boat Yard strongly suggested the Yanmar should have its 1000 hour service done and I agree so that's getting added to the list.

I need to find the Yanmar 4JH-TE owners/operators manual.

The Yanmar shop manual on the boat is not
correct for this engine.

I've out the deposit on having the mainsail made and the genoa repaired. They say I can get two seasons out of the genoa.

I spent the evening tracing some weird large hose that goes from an after market deck water fill to the void in the swing keel. Maybe it's there to flush the swing keel?

There is a float switch in the forward stateroom between the head and shower. I does not look original and is connected to a grey and blue wire that head under the head.

I found the high water alarm and tested it by pulling the flat sealed sensor and putting it into bilge water. It works but mow the alarm light remains lit. Maybe the sensor needs to dry for a while or maybe it needs to be power cycled. It's a harry home owner job run straight to the battery under the aft stateroom bunk. The only way to power cycle it is to undo the fuse. At least it is fused.

The wiring if the bilge pump under the floor board starboard and forward of the companionway is a mess as is all the wiring around the batter under the aft stateroom berth.

It looks like the stuffing box leak has slowed down to where the bilge limp runs every 17 minutes up from 11 yesterday.

The empty mast is clanging away today despite how Mike secured it. I'm guessing it's a bit wavier today than it has been.

That can't be right. I got out of West Marine for less than $100.

At the UPS Store returning this present from Duncan and Ann so it can be exchanged for one that works with Ray Marine.

The deposit on an upgraded mainsail has been made. White with blue numbers matching the bimini.

I just talked to Ryan who is the service manager at the marina. He's coming down in 20 minutes and will give me an opinion about the stuffing box and give me some advice on how to deal with emergencies and properly maintain the stuffing box.

Left is a Dacron sail. Right is the 3Di Ocean sail material that I am getting. It should hold shape better for longer than a Dacron sail. I've opted not to go with battens to lessen the likelihood of the in-mast furler jamming.

I watched with interest as they used a large barge with a very tall crane to place these huge floating docks.

I got a small log book for maintenance to keep ships log and the maintenance logs separate.

I also got some q-tips and to my surprise Walgreens here sells cheap wine.

Songs from the Rocky Horror Picture Show are playing right now. Very local. I like it but I suspect I am, despite the music selection, by far the oldest person here.
