Anchor up.

Wayne and Jackie are busy with paper charts and check lists. I am feeling low energy and my level of motivation is currently "coffee". We'll motor over to English Harbour to check out soon and then it's a 5 hour sail to Guadaloupe.

We had dinner at the Club House. When Mark and I had dinner there in December, it was great. This time not so much.

I was exhausted last night and slept quite well all the way theough to 08:30. Tiring days lead to good sleep.

Shirley's Heights ... super crowded, loud, and touristy but the view if not for all the people is spectacular.

Nice spot with a dramatic view of rocks and waxes.

These fish were huge just hanging around the dock.

I had coffee ready just as Mark, Wayne, and Jackie were getting up. Needless to say they were somewhat surprised to see me.

I then, as promised, made omelettes and bacon. Wayne helped with the veggies. I made the omelettes one at a time. I'll have to work on making them simultaneously. The bacon took significantly longer to crisp than expected. Breakfast was met with positive reviews.

The only bacon we could find was one cured with sugar but I did not think it was going to cause me much trouble.

After breakfast we raised the aluminum anchor and then replaced it with the steel one Wayne had recovered the previous day. This involved using a halyard to lift the anchor. I was handed a grinding wheel and cut off about a foot of chain trying to find a section that was less corroded.

We finished the iob and I was pretty well done. The fatigue hit hard and the cramps and joint pain hit. I fell asleep for a while and spent much of the afternoon pretty miserable.

A good sized sea turtle surfaced near the boat. Of course my attempts at a photo were thwarted.

I got up at 6AM. First one up, I think. We'll see how tired I get later.
