Just hit a branch. 😳

That was painless. Navionics estimated a 13:00 arrival at the bridge. I just hailed them 10 minutes out and they are just going to open the bridge. Painless.

Increased to 2800 RPM from 2500 RPM to make the 13:00 opening at the Centrevill Turnpike Seing Bridge ... 30 minute run.

Up at 7:00. Yesterday was rough. I got poisoned the night before and it really hit me pretty hard in the afternoon. Combine that with being underway for 11:15 ... ugh.

I slept really sell though and being on a sailboat like this is a serious workout. I'm sore from head to tow. Lot's of movement, lifting, and stretching in ways one typically doesn't.

That Mexican restaurant last night was an Error(tm). Oof. But it's not as bad as it could have been. I'm still functional.

Bouncy here. A little while back Wayne called me up to act as lookout for crabpots. There were a field of them in the middle of the channel.

We've cleared the Alligator River Seing Bridge along with the trawlwer Endurance which we met in Belhaven. They radioed us and said they have the grill fired up and the steaks ready for us when we reach Coinjock.

We're out of the canal and the wind has picked up quite a bit.

I read this morning that the flood wayers from the mountains are nearing Norfolk and bringing a tremendosnamount of debris with them. We are starting to see more largish branches today ... and there is an order of magnitude more traffic today. We've encountered a number of big power boats ... so far most slow down but they still leave a large wake.

Third time through this canal ... clipping along at 7.2 kts turning 2500 rpm.
