Just long and straight ...

The adhesivr for the mirror in the foreward head let go. Since the backing has peeled away around the edges I had intended to replace it anyway hiwever I just had the thought that maybe it can be repaired. It might make for an interesting project since it's a sizeable piece of glass.

All the GPS apps we use have been strangely flakey. They will all suddenly stop updating despite there being evidence the phone knows its location. Sailties was killed at the same time as Adv-Traveler so I'm beginning to think once I finally resolve the straight line bug that it'll be close to "industry standard" ... I still think for the time being that we'll keep it at a boutique level while I focus on the read-only ARM app ...

We're alternating shifts on the hour. The alternator is charging the batteries at a surprising rate. I was sad that Wayne thought he shouldn't run his CPAP machine last night ... we have more than enough power for it. That was kind of the whole point.

We just got hailed by a boat looking for information on the Alligator River Bridge closure. We're not sure if they were actually hailing us or not.

Up at 7 today. I slept really well.

We ran both AC units at max for a few hours and then I ran the foreward AC unit in night mode all night. When I got up we still had 65% left in the batteries.

The wind moved around but the anchor held. This was a very peaceful place to anchor despite the rain and wind last night. There have been no bugs to soeak of which is surprising.

The plan is to head back to Belhaven to reprovision and do laundry. Then we'll see if we head out to Pamlico sound or wait for the bridge to be repaired.

It feels like a storm is rolling through. I can hear light rain and a persistent wind. There are some very strange sounds. I need to get some sleep. I fear I may be woken by the anchor alarm ...

Very quiet and dark here. There's the constant lingering fear the anchor will let go. We have anchor drag alarms set on both if our phones but both phjnes GPS has been acting strangely.

Anchored. Took teo attempts. This anchorage is not as large asit appears.

Our estimate was pretty close. Arriving in the anchorage shortly with plenty of light.

Command decision. Heading down river to a more sheltered anchorage. We'll head back to Belhaven tomorrow to reprovision and then loop around through Pamlico Sound.

It looks like the starter problem may just be the ignition switch.
