TODO: see if the temperature of the phone can be polled. The iPhone slows down dramatically when in sunshine.

Coffee stop. Very tired.
BUG: There seems to be a new race condition when one track ends and another begins. It's happening on the Pixel 2 as well.
iOS however does have some issue where it just stops tracking in the background.
TODO: add a debug screen where one can easily see the current state of the background geolocation plugin. Maybe it's getting turned off due to some error I'm not handling right or maybe I'm accidentally turning it off? My hope is that this is the extremely hard to reproduce track interruption bug Aaron was noticing.

On the Pixel 2.
The iPhone is behaving weirdly. Normally I would suspect software but Google Maps crashed.
The app isn't crashing but just stops recording locations in the background. For a moment I wondered if maybe I had not given it permission but that is not the case.
I'm not feeling all that great so I will likely make frequent stops.
It dawns on me I forgot to bring towels and my checkbook.

Heading out at the crack of 11:15. I've not been feeling so well these last couple days. I'm moving slowly. I may go half way and grab a motel. We'll see.
I'm running bith the iPhone 7 and Pixel 2. As happens so often, the app suddenly doesn't run on Wayne's Pixel 6. It errors out unable to connect to the local database. I'll futz with ut this evening. I'm taking the new monster development laptop with me which should make it much easier to work remotely. The MacBook Air was too underpowered for real work.
