It looks like the date/time order is being correctly kept making the stream of post much easier to follow.

it's a very nice afternoon. once we left lunch up in the mountains. part of the ride was on pavement, the majority though, was a very nice forest road up and over the mountains. we now have arrived in steamboat springs, and are about to check into the rabbit ears motel, after a cold brew. Great day!

Time to stop and slip on the rain jacket. it's looking awful dark up ahead.

our first dirt section and it was fast. these guys are some pretty good riders. they're keeping up a good pace. we had one minor spill but everyone is fine. bikes are fine and that was a pretty good introduction.

Gas stop Winter Park. lunch should be coming soon.

So we stopped at berthoud pass at 11307 ft. it will be one of our high points today. everything is going fairly well. we are headed next to Winter Park.
