I forgot to mention as I rolled up to the Days Inn there were two LEO cars with lights on dealing with a cow in the road ... I was again not quick enough with the camera.

I am way too tired to try to plan any routes tonight. Imma just wing it.

Find Good Roads and More is broken on the Live Map Page.

I fond I've wanted to use that feature multiple times on this tripZ

Arrived in Harrisonburg and am looking for a suitable place to stay. This town dors remind me a bit of purgatory.

The pass on 33 out of Brandywine continues to impress.

Cowpasture road North is akin to Bullpasture Road but with more houses and less open vistas.

The number of critters in the road was of concern. Many deer, ground hogs, turkeys. I was also startled by another Blue Heron and if course the ever present suicidal squirrel. I'm probably forgetting some.

I'm planning on heading out 33 to find a room and something to eat in Harrisonburg.

The weather has been fantastic today. Evidence of rain but none on me.

I'm surprised there is no signal here at all.

Bull Pasture Run Roadnis such a wonderful road. Interestingly, I enjoy it more Northbound than Southbound.

Saw a few deer next to the road. There have been several.

In the wooded part I had a blue heron fly next to me over the river. I tried to capture a photo but I think I probably missed it.

Only 1x signal here.

I forgot how wonderful Douthat State Park road is. Deep forest park road with some mildly twisty sections. Few houses. Very little traffic once you pass the main campgrounds.

Now I'm pondering when and where to look for a motel.

Gas stop.

3.383 gallons 146.6 miles.

GPS is trying to route me onto the Interstate. Ain't nobody got time for that. I'm going to take a short coffee break and ponder options.

Last update to here.

It starts out with old houses right next to a narrow road. It then opens up alternating between sections of houses sparated either by farms or forest.

Not unpleasant.

Stiill no signal.

Last post to here.

Quickly opened up into a wide valley sparsly dotted with houses. It then turns into a flowing very pleasant park forest toad with a number of dirt roads off ofnit. I saw signs mentioning Potts Jeep Trail that might be worth checking out.

It then changes into this dramatic ravine/gully narrow road lines with trees. I saw two deer on this stretch.

So far my shoulders aren't hurting too much.

Last post to here.

Pleasant flowing hilly forest road. Few houses. Saw 1 car.

The next looks like it'll be more of the same.

Reminder: This last section of 311 is the road I wanted to show Duncan and Bruce.

I forgot to mention in the last update that I saw a racoon.

Unpaved from last update.

Distressingly well maintained very pretty wooded gravel road. Few switchbacks and some notable elevation changes. Very secluded with very few houses and some abandoned double wide trailers.

I rode it on my R1100S and was doing between 20 and 35 for most of it.

The last 23 miles have been kick ass.

It starts out as a National Forest road following a mountains stream marked with dramatic rocks. Moderately wide with mostly gentle corners. As it crosses the WV line into the Potts Creek management area the riad narrows and becomes sramatically twisty for a while. It could surprise a rider.

Deeply forested and fun it eventually opens up into a sparsely populated wide valley. Beware of hound dogs.

I guess 8 miles of 460 isn't too bad.

Up to ntil a mile ago this was a very nice very twisty wooded mountain road and a hood way to boid I77. Aggressive 20mph turns over the mountain top.

Back on my intended route now.

This is a decent twisty road.
