At The Diner for breakfast this morning, top rated food in town. I’ve laid out a new route for today. So nice to be able to do this quickly, it’s already in the GPS ready to go. 



It’s pretty around here and we came in so late it was too dark to get photos. I want to go back to Backbone Rock and get some pics. 

Then there is a cluster of roads I want to explore towards Galax. We’ll head for Tazewell after that. 

We wandered over to the Damascus Old Mill Inn for dinner. It’s more my kind of place - rooms, bar, good food. We were not disappointed.  I will try to stay here next time in Damascus. 

YermoSo...2 things. Your post where you tagged me.about the gravel is only visible when we search for it. It was in the ride posts timeline. Second thing is he's already seeing what he can get away with ~5 miles on gravel today. He may not make it back. 

The Dancing Bear Inn will do for the
night, it’s all that was available. Small room, shared bath, few amenities. We’re going to wander over to my first choice place for dinner. They didn’t have any room for us. 

We’ve arrived at the Dancing Bear B&B in Damascus, VA. First thing they asked was “Are you here to do the MABDR?” Small room but it will do for a night.
