We could not have asked for better weather. It was a partly cloudy brightly sunny day. Through Maryland forests the contrast between tree covered shadows and bright open spaces was dramatic. The temperature was perfect. It had been 13 weeks to the day since buffalo and I had ridden together. His scooter accident had left him with a shattered leg which has taken quite a while to heal well enough to allow him to ride. Honestly, we did not think it was going to go as well as it did today.

We did our traditional "power of left" ride but decided to extend it along random roads in Northern Maryland. We often forget how beautiful Northern Maryland farm country is.

Today was a day to remember.

By the time I got home the odometer read 130.7 miles. 

This ride is over.
