I've upload a bunch of updates and worked through the trip map to mark all the unpaved roads we found.

This was a surprise find. Another pleasant hilly unpaved road.

Paddy's Cove Lane

This is a nice short unpaved road that eventually turns private with no trespassing signs.

Route (63708)

Van Buren Road

The is a long unpaved pretty road that follows a mountain stream. On the right side there is an old furnace. It eventually rolls through a small development which looks like it's private but the local we asked said it was a public road.

This is a really nice unpaved bottom land road that follows a picturesque little mountain stream.

Route (63699)

Still House Lane

The sign at the start of this road indicates that it ends only .3 miles ahead but it appears to turn into a fire service road that goes for quite a ways. It is moderately rutted and muddy in places. The road appears to continue on well past the point where I've marked the road as closed. There are private "No Trespassing" signs that appear to refer to the road at the point where I've marked the end ( which will well past the end of the route as marked ... the routing engine isn't routing over the extent of this road.)

A couple wouldn't route so I'll have to come up with something separate for them.

At the end of 66 we saw a sizable bear dead on the side of the road. That was a first.

To our surprise we found so many more unpaved really quite good gravel and forest service roads than we could have hoped for. Sadly, most dead ended. Some were moderately challenging. Overall it was a very good day of riding.

At the end we ran into the worst traffic on the way home that I can remember. There were four accidents each causing significant backups, the worst of which backed up the Beltway from the 270 spur all the way back to near Tyson's Corner.
