I was strangely error prone yesterday. I rolled into a tunnel that I misjudged and everything went pitch black. I had to come to a stop to pull the sunglasses off. It was so dark I didn't realize I hadn't come to a stop when I put my feet down. Stupid mistake.
On NC 80, The Devil's Whip, coming downhill to a sharp 10mph right hander, I missed a shift and ended up in neutral for a moment which caused a moment's panic.
The night before I lost situational awareness on NC 28 and misremembered a turn. I got surprised, panicked, went way wide and nearly crashed.
I have not made mistakes like this in literally years. By the end of yesterday I found myself feeling very tentative on the bike.
