Using the dinghy I tried to wipe off as much of the diesel stain as I could with Hull Cleaner.

Hard day today. Start issue returned. I wired in a start relay to lessen the load on the old start wire. I also added an emergency start switch.

Anchored at 5:06. Start problem recurred. I started the motor by jumpering the start solenoid.

Roller furler fouled. Wayne is dealing with it.

Yesterday was the starter motor. Today the gloropane solenoid and regulator. Wayne also did the genser impellor.

Well that was unexpected. The diesel would not start. I whacked it and it started. Diversified had an aftermarket one in stock which they are leaving in the dock box for me.

Over the radio we heard report of a boat fire South of Bloody Point. An Anne Arundel fire boat responded.

The diesel is smoking quite a bit more than I think it should but it sounds fine.

There was a report of a 10 ft log North of the Bay Bridge so I spent quite a bit of time on the bow keeping watch. I noticed the toe rail on the port side at the bow is loose. Another project.

We carefully evaluated the turbo. No play. No resistance. No noise other than turbo whine. After much consideration given that we are staying local we believe it is an acceptable risk to run it.
