I forgot to mention here our trip was cut short. On the morning of the second day, after about 30 minutes of runtime right before we were going to raise sails, the serpentine belt on the propulsion diesel shredded again.
Needless to say, this put a damper on the trip.
Because there was good wind jackie4737 and America.Rides.Maps put up the mainsail and started navigating our way back to the dock because I only had one, already compromised, spare. I went below and worked on replacing the belt.
Days after the trip I've been trying to narrow down why the belt is failing. But, given the magnitude of the refit, if this is the only "major" problem we deal with, I'll consider it a win.

The generator ran flawlessly all night. The spaceheater was enough to keep the forward stateroom comfortable and well above freezing.

The sky is clear and the sun is shining. Jackie is making breakfast. The thought is to sail to Rock Hall because the wind is favorable in that direction.

This tracking bug is annoying.

The genset has been running fine for hours now. The batteries are only up to 86%. The aft AC is running fine. It's still too cold for the forward one. Tempsnare supposed to increase Sunday so it may work then.

Our plans are changing with the weather. We may head North instead of going over to Kent Narrows.

It was proper cold at the heml today. Even these Gill Helmsman gloves are just not cutting it.

There's a weird glitch with the AC 2 circuit. At first if the water heater is on the genset gets kicked off die by the Victron presumably because of over-current. After the shutdown the AC 2 circuit doesn't light up rightbawaynand when it does there's andim reversed polarity light. Michael says it's nothing to worry about but we did reboot the Victron just in case.

PROBLEM?: With AC2 on there was an overdraw issue where the AC load would spile to 5k watts and the Victron would disconnect it. It would then reconnect after a few moments. I suspect the water heater.

We are now anchored. There was between 15 to 20kts of wind. We made real good time seeing 8.7 kts at one point. Turning into South River put us more into the wind as the sun was setting. It got proper cold.

Wayne has ome up with a better faster to deploy snubber knot. Jackie pointed out we should leave thenanchor control in the anchore locker overnight in case we need to deploy it rapidly.

We are sitting in the heat. Life is good.

It was proper cold last night. Wayne and Jackie arrived earlier than expected. I continues working on aligning the alternator belt pulleys. I'm concerned how well it's going to hold.

We went to eat at the local dive bar, Dark Horse.

The foreward HVAC unit stopped working. It's throwing an F2 code.

I woke up around 5 and was unable to fall back asleep. It's going to be a tired day.

Jackie made a nice breakfast.

It's been a solid three days of work trying to get the boat ready.
