US 276 follows the Davidson River into a very popular section of the Pisgah National Forest. With campgrounds, trailheads, waterfalls, and historic attractions on this section of the road it can get quite busy, especially on weekends. Be alert when passing through, particularly for turning traffic when the road gets tighter and curvy. Looking Glass Falls is the principal attraction. While it has lots of roadside parking it's also one of the busiest spots. There are lots of pull-offs along the water. You'll cross a couple small historic bridges across the river before the road starts a long climb. The higher you gets the tighter the curves. This section of US 276 ends at the ramp to get on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Wagon Road Gap.
