greetings everyone!
so like the title suggests let’s ride.
ive been living here for a while now and I take 2 week long trips to tour japan one in the spring where we hit south and one in the summer where we hit the mountains.
ill be posting some pictures from past rides soon
So spring is usually the 1st week of May and summer is generally August.
this being said I am in the process of trying to design a multi country ride for next year. The 2 options I am working on are Northern Japan and Shaklin Island Russia OR Japan and South Korea. It is depending on The ferry situation at this point. 
No if that’s too much or epic the weekly spring ride is a blast. If you have questions please let me know.

don’t know about that VUT I’ve met up with many RTW travelers and folks who came over rented a bike and rode.
 Yeah I’m going to put together a compilation with assorted photos and a small ride report and get it posted.

Greetingsfir those interested, We ( myself and a couple friends)are currently in the process of planning an epic 2 week ride in northern japan from August 2nd-16th.We will be starting in Kyoto and taking the ferry up north and zig zagging over 2 weeks back down.For those of you RTW folks if you happen to be around join us for all the rest ship your bike over OR plan a rental bring your gear and join us. I’m happy to answer your questions I’m an American whose been living here more than 10 years now so ask away. As we get more info I’ll post.Thanks for reading and happy ridong

so just wanted to add some info. We have 5 people who’ve already committed one fromevthe States one from the UK
 and 3 of us living here in japan?.
for those interested there is a great rental company for bikes or you can ship yours.
this ride will be 90% tarmac, so no need to worry. From Kyoto ( Osaka area) we will ride to Mizaru catch the ferry ( overnight) to Otaru in Hokkaido we hav 4 days in Hokkaido then a short 99 minute ferry from Hakodare in Hokkaido to Oma and then we will spend the rest of the time zig zagging back to Kyoto hitting Fuji and Nagano along the way. We will be camping mostly but will get a couple spots for Japanese lodging within the trip. Hope to hear from you and see you on the road

Will you have video cameras on this trip?

this you can gaurentee. Never ride without them. I’m going to try and make sure others are set up as well. I’m also in the process of trying to figure out how to record conversations with our communication set up.
my bike will have a front and possibly rear and a helmet cam with a mic in the helmet.
