I normally only look for good roads and don't focus on places to visit but on Facebook today I came across a photo of Backbone Rock Tunnel:

This got me to thinking about what other interesting, note worthy, or just cool little spots there might be that I've never heard of.

Do you have any favorite cool little spots like this that you like to to visit in the Mid Atlantic when you're out touring?
