We should call today “travel gravel”. So far Old Route 16 has been my favorite road of the day.

Looking through the photos from yesterday that I recovered I thought this one was pretty good:

We're safely at Hotel Floyd in Floyd, Va. We just beat a nasty storm on our way in. It was a day of good weather and incredible roads but it was long ... 409.8 miles of twisty little mountain roads. 

I'm beat.
