Good old Floyd. Got one of the best rooms in the Hotel Floyd. Soon to stroll into town for some Floydness.
We continued down the parkway with a couple scenic stops. It was our first ride to the top of Roanoke Mountain.

We we left the parkway south of the city to Calloway, then crossed Five Mile Mountain to get to Floyd. Done riding for the day. Time to kick back in funky Floyd.

Satbucks stoppin’

Bull Pasture road was the best section. Between 250 and 33 the road is ok with some good sections and one pass with dramatic views. North of 33, Country Road 3 up to route 55 is a very nice ride that is less texhnical than Bull Pasture but similar in demeanor and views. I enjoyed it.
we’ve cut south and are now on the Blue Ridge Parkway above Roanoke. The rain stayed north so far.

Forecast for rain and I’m going to be riding into it. Man, I wish my Transit Suit were still waterproof. Rainsuits, even well made ones, are a pain.
Yermo is heading north, we are moving south to try and avoid some rain. Good riding so far.
America.Rides.Maps has pulled the sidestand up and is underway.

326.8 miles of relentlessly twisty roads yesterday. Bull Pasture Road, Route 15, and Route 39 were the most memorable for me.
