As part of the preparations I'm doing for a possible trip to the Bahamas and back I had the rig checked, as you're supposed to do. Aaron of Moeller Rigging found a number of problems which is distressing since I just had the rig redone. 

The chain plates were leaking so needed to be rebedded. The mounting hardware was done and needed to be replaced.
