Prologue - Is This Thing On?
This is my 2nd attempt to plan a ride. My first attempt was to create tracks by dropping waypoints, then exporting and downloading to a GPX file. I set my Garmin Zumo 660 to "Do Not Recalculate" and dropped the file into the unit's \Garmin\GPX directory.
With this ride, I'm adding existing routes (tracks?) from Ride Plans created by Yermo. I'll be connecting those routes by adding my own routes which I create by dropping waypoints from one route to another.
I'm curious to see if the Zumo will seamlessly navigate from my routes, to Yermo's imported routes and in the proper order.
Browsing through Yermo's vast collection of Ride Plans, I picked two that I liked and could use - Michaux Gravel and Frederick Watershed and Michaux. In one tab I had my December 12 2020 Ride plan (D122020) open, and opened Yermo's ride plans in another browser tab. I selected a section of Yermo's ride and in the subsequent popup selected "+ Ride Plan". I repeated this for all of the sections I wanted to include.
