I read a disturbing article about health insurance in the AMA magazine. Apparently, it's quite common for health insurance policies to specifically deny claims for any motorcycle related injuries or injuries from other 'risky' activities.

It never dawned on me that such a thing was possible so I in all these years of riding I never thought to check.
