Do any of you guys ever use the "Msgs" link in the upper right to send each other private messages on the site?
There are only 94 private messages in the database. The reason I was asking was I was momentarily lazy and thinking I might save some work and clear the table.
But I'm manning up and translating the existing private messages to the new system. i'm trying very hard not to dump any data from the old system when I transition to the new system.
Private messages in the new code will be more "facebook-like" as will be notifications.

ok, ok, I've been thinking about building a chat client for the site as well.
But I have to prioritize. I can, after all, only do the work of 10 men, not 20.
I figure:
1. get the core refactored so I have a solid base upon which to build. That's what I've been doing so far.
2. create basic maps support with tagging and route planning.
3. group ride scheduler.
4. mobile apps for Android and iPhone for the maps tagging and group rider scheduler.
That should pretty much keep me busy until March/April.
