I had time yesterday to change all the brake hoses on the GT750 - yes they are new not old stock or used.

these took almost 3 weeks to get through customs from japan. but the price was right.

so I have functioning brakes - almost scary

Scary. A bike that is only modestly more advanced than the 1992 Harley that's in the garage now.

did you actually say a 40 year old Suzuki is more advance than a 92 HD???

you may actually have electronic ignition and a solid state voltage regulator.

I'm on points & an air gap adjustable voltage regulator so I don't think advance
is even a word that should be used in the same sentence.

I cleaned carbs in January & got the electrical functioning so the battery is charging - the engine is running

next problem is the rust in the fuel tank
until this is cleaned & sealed the bike isn't even doing parking lot test.

actual time to get it done is the biggest problem

This makes me wonder if this might not be something that could be used in a marine environment such as on Duncan's boats gas tank?

Well, reading the instructions it looks like using it in a marine application is not practical.

Is it just rusty inside or do you have pinhole leaks?

Big flakes of rust or fine powdery rust?

no pin holes just fine stuff that clogs up carbs
the petcock has a screen & I added a small lawn mower filter but they just clog up

so I have to clean the tank.

That product that you linked to claims to be better than Kreem, which I have used successfully (it lasted many years), so there's a good chance it would work for you. If you just have fine rust, then the tank is probably structurally fine.

Another crazy thought, given your knowledge and abilities... build yourself a new tank from scratch.

no I'm not building a tank - I'm not falling for that...

I've got 2 tanks for the GT750's
a 74 & a 75 only difference is the gas caps
both need cleaning.

with the ethanol fuels and the political push to increase them to 15% or 20% I don't want to use the "kreem" - I've just seen to many items dissolve/fail using ethanol fuels.
